Program Support Associate
Amanda Young is the Program Support Associate at Up for Growth. In this role, she establishes and maintains a multitude of specialized operational functions related to internal information and process management, membership, advocacy, research and other core functions pertaining to organizational growth and sustainability.
Prior to joining Up for Growth, Amanda spent over two years directing student recruitment and admissions for a DC-based workforce development nonprofit, providing a clear and equitable process to guide adult job seekers through occupational skills training with the goal of obtaining living-wage careers in technology sectors. She brings a deep background in community outreach and project management solutions. Amanda graduated from American University with a B.A. in political science and psychology.
In her spare time, Amanda is actively involved in housing production and infrastructure upgrades at the local level, serving as Vice Chair on DC Mayor Bowser’s Streetlight Advisory Panel and working with the real estate website UrbanTurf, maintaining a development pipeline of residential properties in the District.
