California Steering Committee Member; First Vice President of Investments, Equity Residential
Nazar Elwazir is First Vice President of Investments for the Bay Area and Seattle. Prior to joining Equity Residential in 2014, Nazar was the director of acquisitions for Ginkgo Residential responsible for identifying and evaluating multifamily acquisition opportunities throughout the Southern United States. Prior to Gingko, he was an associate in the real estate investment banking group at Deutsche Bank Securities and at Bank of America where he represented and advised REITs, real estate funds and private real estate companies. Nazar earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Nazar is a full member of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the California Apartment Association’s Codes and Development Policy Subcommittee.
